Aerospace-X

Ecosystem for an efficient and sustainable Aerospace Supply Chain

As data becomes an increasingly important resource in modern industry, there is a growing need for data-driven solutions to address various challenges. As part of the Manufacturing-X initiative, which focuses on the digitalization of supply chains, Aerospace-X aims to develop a federated and value-added platform for aerospace supply chains. This platform will utilize modern data room technologies to enable data-driven decisions and improve collaboration within the industry.

The challenge

The aviation industry is highly integrated into global supply chains and faces various challenges such as supply chain bottlenecks, fluctuations in demand and documentation requirements. Geopolitical risks, cyber-attacks and other unpredictable events further threaten the stability of the supply chain. To meet these challenges, the efficiency, resilience and digital infrastructure of supply chains must be improved using modern technologies.

Our service

Fraunhofer ISST is transferring the results and experience from related projects such as Gaia-X, Catena-X, Plattform Industrie 4.0 and IDTA to the aviation industry. This includes the identification of adaptation requirements and the implementation of solutions that enable cross-data collaboration along the entire supply chain. The aim is to create a resilient and sustainable supply chain design and a technology base that can effectively meet future challenges.

The result

Aerospace-X will build a digital ecosystem that creates uniform standards for the multi-level supply chains in the aerospace industry. This transformation will prepare the aerospace sector for the future and significantly strengthen the resilience and sustainability of the industry.
