eBusiness Platform Healthcare

The project eBusiness platform healthcare will not only significantly facilitate the data exchange and cooperation between healthcare institutions, but also to the patients. For this purpose, the project partners systematically develop solutions for privacy-compliant interoperability of IT applications and business processes in healthcare. Their aim: Development of a standard portfolio of interfaces, based on which the industry can develop interoperable solutions for various applications. To that, existing standards shall be considered or developed as far as possible. The project deals with the following aspects in order to increase interoperability, quality of care, productivity and economy in healthcare:

  • Privacy mechanisms and data security mechanisms
  • Terminology and ontology server and semantic reference systems
  • Data-Dictionary Server
  • Requirements and interoperability of and to cross-institutional file systems
  • IT based quality management, guidelines and documentation
  • IT support and exchange formats for clinical paths and processes
  • Service offer and appointment booking platform
  • Interoperability modules for primary systems
  • Base and infrastructure services for the applications

The results of the project will be publicly available at the end of the project after the coordination and release by the project partners. The results are to lay the foundation for an interoperable application-oriented platform for IT applications in healthcare. The work of gematik will thereby be considered according to the known state and implementation.
