Trustworthy and interoperable data spaces are becoming increasingly important for business, government, and research. However, traditional, centralized approaches to master data management are reaching their limits due to rising demands for data quality, transparency, and data sovereignty.
The VC4MDS project addresses this challenge by using verifiable, cryptographically secured credentials (Verifiable Credentials) to exchange master data in a decentralized and trustworthy manner. This improves data quality, security, and selective sharing—without centralized data storage.
