The challenge
The High Performance Center Logistics and IT is working on the ongoing establishment of logistics as a scientific discipline – in particular the specialist core of logistics. At the same time, the participating institutions want to transfer logistics principles to the handling of information, thereby strengthening it in terms of information logistics.
Our contribution
Through its Industrial Manufacturing division, Fraunhofer ISST is involved in optimizing vertical and cross-organizational information flows, among other things. Our work spans the fields of digitalization, AI, and sustainability—whether in the context of digital product passports, data exchange within data ecosystems, or the development of digital twins. A particular highlight is the “Innamark” project. There, our research associates conducted research on the implementation of invisible watermarks in text data. The final result was successfully filed for a patent in Germany and internationally.
